Overview

Arcade Jobs Status Tracker ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web platform at jobstatus.arcadelighting.com.

Information We Collect

1. Account Information

• Email address
• Name
• Company name (for business accounts)
• User role (Admin, User, Customer, Sales)

2. Camera Permission

Purpose: The App requests camera access for the following features:

• QR Code Scanning: To quickly scan job QR codes for status tracking and updates
• Photo Capture: To capture photos of completed work, visits, or job-related images

3. Location Information

Purpose: Location data is collected when:

• Sales representatives log customer visits
• Location-based tracking for service visits

Note: Location tracking only occurs when you explicitly use visit logging features. You can deny location permission and still use other app features.

4. Contacts

Purpose: Sales representatives can add a customer by choosing that person from their device's contact list, instead of typing the details in twice.

There are two ways to do this, and you choose which:

• Import from Phone (asks for contacts permission). When you tap "Import from Phone" the App asks for permission to access your contacts. If you allow it, you pick one person and the App fills in their name, phone numbers, email, company, job title, address and website for you to review.
• Without granting permission. If you refuse, importing still works: your device shows its own number picker, only the single number you select reaches the App, and you type the remaining details yourself. You can also open your contacts app, choose "Share" on a contact and send it to Arcade — the complete record arrives that way without the App holding any contacts permission at all.

• The App only ever reads the one contact you choose. It does not read, copy, upload or index your address book. No contact other than the customer you choose to save is ever sent to Arcade's servers.
• Details are always shown to you in an editable form before anything is saved. Nothing is stored until you review it and choose to save.
• Once saved, that customer record is stored on Arcade's servers as business contact data for the purpose of recording sales visits, and is visible only to the sales representative who created it and to Arcade administrators.
• Contact photos are never imported.
• You can revoke contacts permission at any time in your device settings. Importing keeps working in the reduced form described above.
• The App can also save a customer from your Arcade records into your device's contact list. This opens your device's own "new contact" screen with the details filled in; you choose whether to save it. The App does not write to your contacts itself.

5. Job and Work Data

• Job details (status, descriptions, specifications)
• Customer information
• Work orders and manufacturing status

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Authenticate and manage user accounts
• Track manufacturing job progress and status
• Enable QR code scanning for job identification
• Facilitate communication between team members
• Generate reports and analytics for business operations
• Provide real-time updates on job status
• Log sales visits and customer interactions

Data Storage and Security

• All data is transmitted securely using HTTPS encryption
• Authentication is handled using industry-standard JWT tokens
• Data is stored on secure servers with access controls
• Camera photos are stored securely and linked to specific jobs
• We implement role-based access control to ensure users only see authorized information

Data Sharing

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Share your data with advertisers
• Use your camera or photos for any purpose other than job tracking
• Access your device's photo library without explicit permission

We MAY share information:

• Within your organization (based on role permissions)
• With authorized team members working on the same jobs
• When required by law or legal process

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (see our Data Deletion page)
• Revoke camera and location permissions at any time through device settings
• Opt-out of optional data collection features

WhatsApp Messaging

The App may send WhatsApp notifications related to job status updates and other operational communications. When using this feature:

• Your phone number is used to deliver messages via the WhatsApp Business API
• Message content is limited to job-related updates and notifications
• We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes
• You may opt out of WhatsApp notifications through your account settings
• Upon account deletion, your WhatsApp message history associated with our service will be removed

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new privacy policy in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification for material changes
